Inspired by several things, including the fine art impressionist painter Renoir and some videos I watched of bobcats recently. I also was trying to, for lack of better words, "sculpt" my subject with a pencil on paper. Drawn with a 2B graphite pencil. Inspiration hit me in the wee hours of yesterday morning and I drew this that night- also into the wee hours. But- gotta love it when artistic inspiration hits!

I sketched these little drawings of my character Furr Coyote today while waiting on something. Furr's slightly more anthro than usual in the top pic but returns to normal in the bottom two.

I have to admit I'm not crazy about this one, it was rather a bit rushed, the coloring's not great, and I don't like the composition enough to bother much with fixing it up now that the critique's done. I did make a point of working out the perspective on this- if you look closely, you can see a grid on the ground in perspective, I was planning on showing a tile floor, but as time was limited, I didn't end up bothering much with it.

Hungry Hungry Hippos by chlorophyta

Another class piece. This assignment was to redesign a game cover. I did Hungry Hungry Hippos because I thought the current cover could use a little more dynamic movement and composition. I actually had a lot of fun with this piece, especially once I figured out how to draw the perspective on the faces of the two hippos in the front, since they're at an odd angle. This is colored pretty much entirely in Painter, with a few tweaks and touchups in Photoshop afterwards.

It's a bit different from my original concept idea but I was pressed for time. =| And lo, I present Pidge, King of crumbs and drive by pooping. The pun... was not intended. Really. For Cornell's Urban Bird Celebration artist call. (And yes, there's a big error here.. a tuppans to the first to call it. :P)
